About Code-Pulse

Code with Your Heartbeat

Code-Pulse Live is a platform that displays your live heart rate data while you write JavaScript code. See your biometric data in real-time alongside your code execution.

Our Mission

Understanding the Mind-Body Connection in Coding

Most developers spend hours coding without awareness of how their body is responding. Elevated heart rate, stress patterns, and energy dips often go unnoticed until burnout hits.

Code-Pulse displays your heart rate alongside your code. You can observe what your heart rate does while you code - when it rises, when it drops, and how it responds during different coding tasks.

How it works: Connect your Bluetooth heart rate monitor (Polar, Wahoo, Garmin) or use your webcam for real-time pulse detection. Write JavaScript code and see your heart rate data sync in real-time alongside your execution. No artificial data—just your actual biometrics.

Our Principles

What guides how we build Code-Pulse

Heart Rate Visibility
See your live heart rate data while you code. What you do with that information is up to you.
Privacy First
All biometric data is processed locally in your browser. We never store your heart rate data.
Open Technology
Built on standard BLE protocols and open web APIs. No proprietary lock-in.

Project Timeline

How Code-Pulse has evolved

24

2024

Initial Development

Code-Pulse was born from exploring the connection between physiology and coding performance. First prototype with basic JavaScript editor.

24

2024

Bluetooth Integration

Added support for Bluetooth heart rate monitors (Polar H10, Wahoo TICKR, Garmin HRM) using Web Bluetooth API standard.

25

2025

Webcam Pulse Detection

Implemented rPPG (remote photoplethysmography) algorithm for pulse detection using webcam - no hardware needed.

26

2026

Live Release

Public launch with stable editor, real-time heart rate sync, and production-ready features. Now live for all developers.
